“Not your typical pork tenderloin sandwich,” said the Missus. Ordered straight off the menu with no substitutions. This one came stacked with personality. The very garlicky aioli and honey mustard both made bold appearances, while the slaw on top (with apple mixed into the cabbage and carrot) added a nice sweet crunch. The pork itself was flavorful, though a bit on the dry side. It was pounded thin, about even with its panko breading, which was lightly seasoned with parsley, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Everything was served on a butter-toasted mini baguette, which gave it a little extra texture and richness. There’s a lot going on in this sandwich... spicy, sweet, umami, and vinegar all competing but somehow, it comes together nicely, and the pork flavor still shines through. The beer selection was excellent, too. All in all, the sandwich was good enough to enjoy and finish, but next time, I’ll branch out and try something else on the menu.
