Scoring a 3 out of 5 on our scale, Callahan’s tenderloin is a solid effort with some standout texture. The thickness earned the highest mark at 3.75, giving the sandwich a satisfying bite without being too heavy. The taste, however, landed lowest at 2.75, with a flavor profile that leaned a bit mild compared to some of Kansas City’s more seasoned contenders. The sandwich comes dressed with horseradish and mayo, plus standard toppings like lettuce, tomato, and onion a combo that adds a touch of zip to the crispy, golden breading. While it’s not a top-tier tenderloin, it’s definitely one that hits the comfort food craving when you’re in the Lenexa area.
