About One Eyed Jack's
One Eyed Jack's in Winamac, Indiana was seeded No. 6 in IndyStar's 2025 Tenderloin Tournament and drew 1,639 first-round votes — enough to eliminate the No. 11 seed by a wide margin. Reviewers from across Indiana and beyond have made the hour-plus drive to Pulaski County specifically for the tenderloin, and the vast majority report no regrets.
The standard jumbo at One Eyed Jack's measures roughly 7 by 12 inches and can run up to an inch and a half thick — big enough that sharing via "The Deuce" (an extra bun and toppings) is a popular strategy, and big enough that leftovers for two additional sandwiches are a realistic outcome. The tempura-style batter fries up light and very crunchy with a seasoning blend so distinct that multiple reviewers have wished they could buy it by the bag. The "Jack Jumble" — one of eight different tenderloin options on the menu — runs $12.49 and was the choice of a traveler who'd just come from visiting Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin and declared it exactly what he needed. The Titanic Challenge pushes the concept to its logical extreme: a seven-pound tenderloin sandwich plus two pounds of tater tots in under an hour. Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb attempted it. WNBA Indiana Fever players attempted it. Only five people have completed it.
The rest of the menu is serious: specialty burgers, broasted chicken, portabella fries, house-brewed sweet tea, weekend BBQ, a long craft beer list, and homemade pies across multiple varieties. The attached lounge serves steaks, seafood, and pasta. The service runs genuinely friendly.
Winamac is the Pulaski County seat in northern Indiana, about 90 miles north of Indianapolis. For anyone building a northern Indiana tenderloin itinerary or routing between Indianapolis and South Bend, One Eyed Jack's at 124 N Market St in Winamac is a mandatory entry on the list.

Today my husband was up for a drive! We drove from LaGrange to Winimac to One Eyed Jacks for their breaded tenderloin. Wasn’t disappointed at all! Very good and so were the fries. We split the tenderloin.

Finally made the hour drive for some dinner…. I must say, I was not disappointed. I am super picky about my breading and they nailed it!!!! Its the right amount of texture with a nice crunch without being too thick! The juiciness and flavor of this thing made me eat WAY too much!!! I wish you could buy the seasoning they use, because it was great! Imp this place knocks the tenderloin sammy out of the park. The hometown feel and service of the place made it a new favorite. I highly recommend giving them a try! Here’s to next time One Eyed Jack’s, because I will be back! Thank you for amazing sercive and an over the top meal

This Breaded Pork Tenderloin is easily one of the largest I’ve ever seen at approximately 7” x 12” and about ¾” to 1½” thick. The portion size alone is impressive. The breading was slightly oily for my preference but it was mostly crunchy which I appreciated. More importantly the flavor was excellent and very satisfying. The tater tots were also complemented the meal nicely. I chose water so I could fully appreciate the flavors without distraction. The sandwich was so large that I had to cut it down. I still ended up with enough leftovers for two additional sandwiches. In the end it was absolutely worth both the drive and the wait. I would not hesitate to return and would recommend it to anyone looking for an oversized and flavorful Breaded Pork Tenderloin.

I didn’t take on the BPT Challenge, but I did order the original “Jack Jumble” tenderloin for $12.49 one of eight different tenderloin options on the menu. After driving all day from Spring Green, WI, where I’d visited Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin, I was more than ready for a good meal and I ended up eating the whole thing. The tenderloin was battered rather than breaded, and it hit the spot... crispy on the outside, tender inside, and full of flavor. Definitely worth the detour on our way to Cleveland. After dinner, we stayed overnight at the 10-56 Brewery north of Winamac in Knox, IN, a Harvest Host location, which made for a perfect end to a long travel day.

I made the hour-plus drive to Winamac, Indiana yesterday just to finally try the famous tenderloin at One Eyed Jack’s I’ve been hearing so much about. And honestly… it did not disappoint! It was massive, moist, and full of flavor... definitely lived up to the buzz. That said, Jonesy’s Junction in Akron, Indiana still holds the top spot for me. I know a lot of folks love those huge tenderloins, but personally, I like mine about half the size (and half the price 😅). One Eyed Jack’s definitely earned a place in my Top 5. Solid food, great experience, and totally worth the trip.
