It pays to eat at Ray's

The sign claimed “Indiana’s Largest Tenderloin,” and honestly it might be true. This thing was massive, easily more than I could finish in one sitting (and that’s saying something). The bun was oversized too. I had my condiments (lettuce, tomato, and onion) served on the side. If you like your tenderloins thin, crispy, and huge, this one’s for you. Ray’s Drive-In in Kokomo, IN just about an hour north of Indy, down the street from Kokomo Speedway, past the BK Stand (which also serves tenderloins). Ray’s has been around for 50+ years, and while they no longer offer dine-in service since COVID, they still do car-hop service and have a few covered picnic tables outside. They even serve a Tenderloin Manhattan with brown gravy. “I don’t rate them, I just eat them.”

King Tenderloin: Very tasty, moist, not overly breaded. I ate half and will have the rest later at home. $21.00 for the sandwich, side of Mac/cheese, large drink, and tip!
