After leaving Edinburgh Diner, I had time to check out another local recommendation... Big Red’s Diner. And I’m so glad I did because this is how I like my tenderloin cooked! The pork was about 3/8” thick just right... moist but not dripping, with breading that was light, crisp, and not overly seasoned. Some might find the flavor a touch mild, but I like it when the meat gets to shine instead of being buried under salt and pepper. Was it the best I’ve ever had? No. But it was a really solid example of what a proper Indiana BPT should be... simple, well-prepared, and full of honest flavor. The diner itself was a pleasant surprise... cozy, friendly, and exactly the kind of place a country boy like me enjoys. I’ll definitely be back to try their tenderloin Manhattan next time or maybe a little breakfast.
