Extensive, very diverse menu including 3 pages of breakfast, pizza, horseshoes, and this hand-breaded pork tenderloin. Unique presentation, served halved on toasted ciabatta. Tenderloin was crisp and tasty, with a light breading and tender meat. $16 including a side and a cup of soup. Default garnish was lettuce and tomato; upcharge for pickle and onion (50 cents each). I might get it again, but there's so many other neat things on their menu I want to try.

While visiting my son and his family in their new home in Skokie, I set out to find a pork tenderloin sandwich in the greater Chicago area. Turns out, that’s no easy task tenderloins are about as rare here as they are in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan making Illinois far from a true tenderloin state like Indiana or Iowa where they’re everywhere. Now, before anyone says it, the tenderloin was not burnt. The breading was naturally dark brown and dry but the meat inside was moist and tender. The bun was oversized and completely toasted, not grilled and buttered, which made it a bit too hard for my liking. On the bright side, the fries were surprisingly good hot, crisp, and well-seasoned. Overall, though, the sandwich was just okay, nothing I’d rush back for, especially at $17.50.
