Celebrating 55 years of tradition, Bull & Bush proves that some classics never go out of style and their breaded pork tenderloin is proof. This beauty arrived golden and crisp, spilling generously over the bun like every proper tenderloin should. The breading was flaky and crunchy, with just the right amount of seasoning to let the pork shine. The loin itself was juicy and tender, perfectly cooked without being greasy. Add in fresh toppings: crisp lettuce, juicy tomato, onion, and pickle. It’s clear these folks know what they’re doing. The bun was soft and lightly toasted, holding everything together without stealing the show. Paired with a side of homestyle mashed potatoes and a cold pint from their own brewery, this sandwich felt like the best of Midwest comfort only elevated with a Colorado twist. Verdict: a must-try for any tenderloin lover passing through Denver. Bull & Bush might be known for their beer, but this BPT is a hidden gem that deserves just as much praise.

Their “Iowa State Fair Sandwich” clocks in at a 4 out of 5 a respectable showing for a tenderloin this far west of the Midwest. The size dominates the plate (and the bun) with a 4.25, living up to the “state fair” name in both ambition and presentation. The thickness, though, came in at 3.75, leaning a bit thin and losing some of that juicy bite Indiana purists love. Standard toppings include tomato, lettuce, onion, pickle, and mayo, keeping things classic and simple. The bun holds up decently against the oversized cutlet, and the crispy breading adds a satisfying crunch. Pro tip: don’t skip the Colorado fries loaded with cheese and bacon, they nearly steal the show. For a brewery best known for its beer, Bull & Bush delivers a surprisingly solid tenderloin a fun nod to Iowa tradition right in the heart of Denver.
